This Privacy Policy explains how LeanGauge ("we", "us") handles information when you visit leangauge.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter (weight, height, age, goals) are not sent to us or stored on our servers. Creating an account is optional: every calculator works without signing up.

Food search. In the Meal Calculator and the Food Comparison tool, the term you type in the search box is sent to our food database (hosted on Supabase) to find results. When you search "branded products", the term is also looked up on Open Food Facts, an open, community database. We don't link these searches to you.

Account (optional). If you create an account — with email and password or with Google — we store your email, the name you provide (or your Google name) the meals you save (meal name, foods and amounts) and, if you build your plan on My plan, your questionnaire answers (sex, age, height, weight, goal, routine and eating pattern). Health questions (pregnancy, kidney disease, diabetes, eating disorder) are optional and only stored if you tick the specific consent box; they are used only to keep your targets safer, and you can delete them anytime on the plan page. Your password is stored encrypted by the authentication service; we never have access to it. This data is kept on Supabase (servers in São Paulo, Brazil) and is used only so you can access your meals from any device. We don't sell or share it.

Like most websites, we may automatically collect standard technical information (such as your browser type, device, and pages visited) through analytics and advertising cookies described below.

Cookies and advertising

We may use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the Site is used and to display advertising.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at www.aboutads.info.

Analytics

We may use analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to collect aggregated, anonymous usage statistics that help us improve the Site. These services may set their own cookies.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

Your rights. If you have an account, you can view and delete your meals anytime on My meals, and delete your account there too — this permanently removes your email, name, plan and all saved meals. For other requests, reach us via the contact page.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not affect the calculators, which run locally.
